Brandywine Zoo Website
The Brandywine Zoo features animals from the tropical and temperate areas of North and South America, Asia, and Africa. The zoo animals range from more common species to the highly endangered. Our zoo is small with mostly smaller animals. We provide numerous learning experiences, conservation projects, community outreach programs, and special events for all ages throughout the year.
We reimagined the online presence for the Brandywine Zoo, turning a data-heavy website into a vibrant, easy-to-navigate hub that sparks excitement and simplifies trip planning for families and animal lovers.

The Goal:
Our mission was to shift the website's focus from technical data to the visitor experience. The revamp aimed to make finding information—like "what animals can we see today?" and "what special events are happening?"—an effortless and enjoyable part of planning a zoo visit.

The Challenge:
Behind the scenes, the zoo's website was a complex system pulling information from various sources. Our key challenge was twofold: first, to untangle this web of dynamic data (animal records, event feeds, etc.) and present it simply; and second, to empower the non-technical zoo staff with a content management system so intuitive they could confidently keep the website fresh and updated long after our work was complete.

The Result
The new site was met with enthusiasm. The client reported a dramatic drop in calls asking for basic information, as visitors could now easily find everything online. The clear layout and simplified navigation meant more people could discover the zoo's unique events and animals, leading to a more informed and excited audience from their very first click.
